TRUST…a hard word to hear and act on! Who in your life do you trust? How do we learn to trust? Have you ever felt let down and how did you react to such a disappointment? How do we become comfortable in our shoes when we often feel compelled to compare ourselves to others who seem to be more intelligent, wealthy, beautiful or successful? How does God see us? Why should we trust Him, when we cannot see, touch or hear Him? How does that trust look and act out in our lives?
Psalm 71:5 “For thou art my hope, O Lord GOD: thou art my trust from my youth.”
FAITH and TRUST do seem to go hand-in-hand. It may take time, a long time, before anything manifests in our lives. Oh, but what Glory awaits those that put their trust in the Living God. The waves will surrender, the mountains will crumble, the heavens will open, and all the angels will sing “Holy, Holy, Holy, is the Lord God Almighty…”
Look what Job 13:15 says “Though he slay me, yet will I trust in him:
but I will maintain mine own ways before him.”
And then these words of encouragement from the Son of God…
