TRUST…a hard word to hear and act on! Who in your life do you trust? How do we learn to trust? Have you ever felt let down and how did you react to such a disappointment? How do we become comfortable in our shoes when we often feel compelled to compare ourselves to others who seem to be more intelligent, wealthy, beautiful or successful? How does God see us? Why should we trust Him, when we cannot see, touch or hear Him? How does that trust look and act out in our lives?

Psalm 71:5 “For thou art my hope, O Lord GOD: thou art my trust from my youth.”

FAITH and TRUST do seem to go hand-in-hand. It may take time, a long time, before anything manifests in our lives. Oh, but what Glory awaits those that put their trust in the Living God. The waves will surrender, the mountains will crumble, the heavens will open, and all the angels will sing “Holy, Holy, Holy, is the Lord God Almighty…”

Look what Job 13:15 says Though he slay me, yet will I trust in  him:
but I will maintain mine own ways before him.”

And then these words of encouragement from the Son of God…

John 14:1- 4 “Do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God; trust also in me. In my Father’s house are many rooms; if it were not so, I would have told you. I am going there to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am. You know the way to the place where I am going.”
Prayer: Teach us to trust, to know you better, to be ever watchful for the coming days. Teach us your ways, Oh Lord, that we might not stumble but walk courageously with you all our days. Let our minds be ever grateful, our hearts be content and our souls flourish in Your love for us. Amen.
