Chive vinegar: Cut chive blossoms early in the day and before they fully open. Steep in vinegar of choice, I use rice vinegar liking the mildness of the sour. I enjoy watching the beautiful effect of lilac appear and steeping until desired chive taste. Filter, bottle and store in refrigerator.

I know these are silly haikus but it was fun.
