a million pieces of me lie bare on the floor.
secrets long guarded,
begging for reprieve,
shadows hiding vulnerability.
blood flows through the brokenness,
forgiveness, a desparate plea.
your jealousy built this wall
between us,
my purpose hidden beneath hurtful words.
marching onward, toward the voiceless,
i am what they search.
a vessel of hope,
their love
mixing with my love,
showering the desert with tears of belief.
hold on, the world cheers!
why, why now?
i hear freedom’s river sing,
“i need to be free”.
why, why now?
hold on, the world cheers,
“the last shall be first!”
This is so wonderful–I take great joy in knowing the last will be first. God bless you 🙂
