Oceans

Sabotaging herself
diving where she naught be;
twirling in seaweed
tangled in octopus tentacles,
swimming with sharks, never tamed.
She left behind her oxygen,
thought she would be born again,
promised to return real soon.
Wile away time waiting there,
expectantly along the shore,
hesitantly your feet do go.
