Repose

unknown becomes known, a gift.
move on, no worry allowed,
no one asks you to suffer.
see the birds fly with grace
who tire at night,
watch the morning glory silently close tight.
they save their presence
to bask in the elegance of day.

remember when you lay in the ripening field
dreaming of being
one with earth.
he whispered your name
ever so sweetly,
drawing down the curtains,
your eyes sleepily performed.

his promise rests with you tonight.
unknown becomes known, a gift.
