twilight zone

24 hours a day

Oh, a primal scream
intensity too much to bare
born to thoughts as babes.

To properly suffer?
Sit alone with a park bench of birds?
Story tell from memory.

Pursuing knowledge
fruits of knowing
fresh enough to think deeply.

Float in the shallow, a reprieve
the floor shaken to the core
don’t stand around these parts any more.

You unlock this door with the key of imagination.
Beyond it is another dimension—a dimension of sound, a dimension of sight,
a dimension of mind. You’re moving into a land
of both shadow and substance, of things and ideas.
You’ve just crossed over into the Twilight Zone. –Rod Serling

Twilight Zone: Was that not the best TV show ever?  And Hitchcock!! Just wow!!

“Rear Window” with Jimmy Stewart, an all time favorite. Who wouldn’t stare out the rear window, curious to know a neighbor’s business, especially all that’s suspicious.

Lisa: How’s your leg?
Jeff: Hurts a little.

Lisa: Your stomach?
Jeff: Empty as a football.

Lisa: And your love life?
Jeff: Not too active.

Lisa: Anything else bothering you?
Jeff: Uh-huh, who are you?    –Rear Window

Jeff: Why would a man leave his apartment three times on a rainy night with a suitcase and come back three times?
Lisa: He likes the way his wife welcomes him home. –Rear Window

float away
disappear into thin air
imagine who is watching…
