I have been absent. Yes. And then Cee’s Share Your World digs deep.
Do you ever sit on a park bench for more than ten minutes? Absolutely. Especially if the sun is ablaze. Or the park is absent of people. I think more clearly when distraction is minimal. I suppose that is true for most people. I like to think I, or rather we, are all special and need space to breathe.
When you lose electricity in a storm, do you light the candles, turn on the flashlight or use your cell phone for light? I have candles. I have flashlights. I have a cell phone. I use whichever light pops into my mind first, and that depends on my mood. Romantic? Candles. Scared? Reach for the flashlight. Feeling modern? Hopefully my cell phone is charged.
Would you rather be given $10,000 for your own use or $100,000 to give anonymously to strangers? I am working on my Capstone Project to address at-risk students contemplating dropping out of school, so I would definitely take the $100,000.00 and use it to jumpstart my non-profit. Whereby, I am inadvertently giving lots of strangers another chance to be something in the future.
What inspired you or what did you appreciate this past week? I love the time spent tutoring the homeless in Indianapolis. The first graders I see weekly, inspire me. And then this moment in Boston.
I am not without thoughts as every where I look and listen, I find another reason to turn.
