gone

depression
leaves behind
wasteland -where

no one wants to be around

the burning house
water scarce,
the world parched.

reach inside
those remaining bones
burnt answers -hidden

visions gone awry
buried by hands
of a savior.

Oh! how i need him now.

Who pleases me
as i answer
to the wrong world

you wrapped around my soul

gripped too tight
squeezing what was left of me
swirling down…

in scented letters -sent.

  1. Reading Anne Sexton. Looking at how to develop my poetry to the next level… my problem is i go with the first thought. I need to wade through the weeds and dig deeper. We shall see if i can focus long enough and go there. It’s difficult when your writing room is packed in boxes. And a million things on your mind. Including doing taxes. Need to drift into my unconscious where i haven’t been lately. Being mentally lazy???? Miss that time alone. Guess i am overwhelmed with this move! BTW…. thanks for asking. I am happy you found peace to face today.
