a few guests arrived early
for the time of their life
in bird choral sung mid-flight
their brilliant dignity shone
brightly donned in varied hue
orange leaf would soon be crowned
red danced circles around her friend
who knew to grow strong with might
this was to know fate arrives overnight
and when his bough bent
the other leaves arrived
to neither tether to each other
until the morning dawn arrives.
