Circle of life

Music enters the mind and becomes your dance.
Dance expresses the heart and exits as your dream.
Dreams are the soul, a cosmic light beam.
Your circle of life.

Job 26:10 “He has inscribed a circle on the surface of the waters
at the boundary of light and darkness.
11 The pillars of heaven tremble and are astounded at his rebuke.

Dance of the Potter’s wheel

Sunday morning poetry. Church: words spoken to me, shared lovingly with you.
My second chance to shape my faith every Sunday for a year.

I stand at the center
of a world gone awry
surrounded by words
of despondent grief

locked inside
cells of skin
until the acrid tears

travel down this desolate road
secrets held close
best withheld to keep peace.
I live in a world of death.

My enemies
believe their story.
My life’s stream
dries up.

I am
my gift to You,
God. Throwing my words

I am a broken pot
shards of clay
desiring healing
thrown down to mold.

Isaiah 64:7 There is no one who calls on Your name, Who arouses himself to take hold of You; For You have hidden Your face from us And have delivered us into the power of our iniquities. 8 But now, O LORD, You are our Father, We are the clay, and You our potter; And all of us are the work of Your hand. 9Do not be angry beyond measure, O LORD, Nor remember iniquity forever; Behold, look now, all of us are Your people.…

Job 10:3 Does it please you to oppress me, to spurn the work of your hands, while you smile on the plans of the wicked?

Jeremiah 31:9 They will come with weeping; they will pray as I bring them back. I will lead them beside streams of water on a level path where they will not stumble…

A Savior walks by my side.

Sands of time

Sunday morning poetry. Church: words spoken to me, shared lovingly with you. My second chance to shape faith every Sunday for a year.

The shifting ground
brings fear.
Peace, my child
as only
I can give.

Feet planted
in fertile ground
hearing wisdom
while my head
resides in clouds.

Funny life zooms
coming to a lull
teaching us to wait.
Sweet promises
pure feat.

Job 6:2-3
“Oh that my grief were actually weighed And laid in the balances together with my calamity! “For then it would be heavier than the sand of the seas; Therefore my words have been rash.

Jeremiah 5:22
‘Do you not fear Me?’ declares the LORD ‘Do you not tremble in My presence? For I have placed the sand as a boundary for the sea, An eternal decree, so it cannot cross over it. Though the waves toss, yet they cannot prevail; Though they roar, yet they cannot cross over it.

Matthew 7:24-27
“Therefore everyone who hears these words of Mine and acts on them, may be compared to a wise man who built his house on the rock. “And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and slammed against that house; and yet it did not fall, for it had been founded on the rock. “Everyone who hears these words of Mine and does not act on them, will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand.

Psalm 139:17-18
How precious also are Your thoughts to me, O God! How vast is the sum of them! If I should count them, they would outnumber the sand When I awake, I am still with You.
