Dreams and dreamers

What is it
about time
that keeps you
from taking hold
the reigns of your mind?
The dark alleys
exposed in the changing
seasons forevermore
demanding you move along.
He stands

waiting.

She loves the flow
of his words worn
around her neck, bent
from past love obligations
and surprisingly -he

understands.

each puff of smoke

blown his way

changes shape

she plays the role

dresses his soul;

he’s unsure who

she is anymore

exhales her ghost

sends her away

to haunt the day.

Paris kind of mood

Paris kind of mood
Strolling in the romance
cherry blossoms in bloom
bookstores abound
thoughts of lovers breathing
new life into your dearest’s hand.
Feet on the ground
her mind in the clouds
a Paris kind of mood.

Concrete
Luscious lips
sweetly bray
pumping up my head.
Concrete bed
powerless to connect
hiding in the sheets we blush.

Endlessly darling

Sunsets racing
catch a new day
erasing love lost.
Broken glass
shimmers, forming
hearts as iridescent diamonds
in the rough.
Will you take me
forever?
